What We Teach

The Confidence Compass encourages young students to make their voices heard. Through a series of workshops and real-life scenarios, students learn how to use their voice and speak up. Each Confidence Compass workshop guides young students to be confident and strong through a series of activities they can apply in real life.

We inspire students to take up space, speak up for themselves, and most importantly, have confidence. The Confidence Compass creates a space where students can use their voice for good.

A Glimpse Into A Session

Our lessons aren’t anything like the ones in classrooms. We encourage speaking up and especially, speaking your mind. In a Confidence Compass session, the students will participate in activities that help them develop skills they may need in real-life scenarios.

Whether a student is in a mock debate about which ice cream flavor is better, or pretending to have a conversation with the King of England, they will learn important skills, besides just how to solve a math problem. The students learn how to conduct themselves in important conversations and how to make decisions with confidence and self-assurance.

After an activity is complete, the students will be asked what they noticed in themselves, and where they see these skills fitting in in their real lives. Students have said that they could imagine these skills being important in a variety of situations, such as defending themselves to their principal, or running for president of their grade.
